In 1913 Charles Sydney Blackman immigrated to America from Australia settling in Los Angeles and then moving to the Imperial Valley in 1917 and opened a small plumbing business called Blackman Plumbing. In 1961 Lester Blackman, Charles' son, took over the business with the help of his son, Thomas Sidney Blackman, and operated under the new name of Original Blackman Plumbing. In 1985, is when Michael Wickline began working at Original Blackman Plumbing. In 1992 Thomas Sidney Blackman took the reins and changed the name to Original Sid Blackman Plumbing and later became partners with Michael Wickline in 1996. In 2022 his longtime partner, Michael Wickline, took over the business as sole owner and changed the name back to its roots of Blackman Plumbing, Inc.
